June came and went, part 1: Artisans in Action!

A bit of a delay writing this post.

I’m working on being a little more disciplined in all areas of my life… baby steps…

So the beginning of June (wasn’t that just last week!?) brought with it an exciting opportunity to take part in Heritage Artisans in Action. The event is held on the first Sunday of every month till October and each has a theme to include a group of artisans from specific disciplines that essentially bring their studios to the Avon River Heritage Society Museum to demonstrate what they do and how they do it. Right on the Bay of Fundy and the highest tides in the world (I learned this weekend that more water flows in and out of the Bay of Fundy every day than all the rivers and streams in the world combined….THINK ABOUT THAT), here are some images from the very first event, Wood and Leather:

The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful and I’m looking forward to taking part in this again. It’s always fun to make stuff with people around to ask you questions and to explain exactly what it is you do.

Next up: a trip to Montreal!
